Welcome to byAir.
Your privacy is important to us. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it when you use our mobile apps, websites, and related services (collectively, “Services”).
1. Information We Collect
a. Account data
Google Sign-In: name, email, profile picture.
Apple Sign-In: anonymous Apple identifier; name/email only if you choose to share.
b. Gmail flight-confirmation data (Google Workspace restricted scope)
- If you connect Gmail, we scan your inbox only for flight confirmation emails and extract flight number, airline, booking reference, departure/arrival airports and times.
c. Usage & device diagnostics
- App version, device model, crash logs, limited analytics.
2. How We Use Your Information
Populate and display your flights, statistics, and travel insights.
Send alerts, Live Activities and calendar sync.
Provide customer support and improve app reliability.
We do not sell or share your personal data with advertisers.
3. Google Workspace Data Use & AI Statement
byAir does not use data obtained from Google Workspace APIs (including Gmail) to develop, improve, or train generalized AI or machine-learning models.
Gmail data is processed solely to parse flight itineraries, then stored on our secure servers (see Section 4). We never transfer Gmail data to third parties except as required to provide the core feature or comply with law. Access can be revoked at any time in your Google Account settings.
4. Data Protection & Security
We employ industry-standard technical and organisational measures to safeguard all personal and sensitive data, including Gmail data:
Encryption in transit and at rest: All traffic uses TLS 1.2+; stored data is encrypted with AES-256.
Least-privilege & role-based access controls: Only authorised personnel with a need-to-know can access production data.
Isolated production environment: Credentials are stored in a secrets manager; direct database access is logged and audited.
Regular vulnerability scans & penetration tests (annually).
Incident response plan: We notify affected users and regulators of any data breach as required by applicable law.
Data retention & deletion: Gmail-derived flight data is kept for the lifetime of your account or until you delete the trip, whichever comes first. Raw email bodies are never stored. If you disconnect Gmail or delete your account, associated data is purged within 30 days.
5. Data Sharing
We share data only:
With trusted sub-processors (cloud hosting, error logging) bound by strict confidentiality and data-processing agreements.
When required by law or to protect rights, property, or safety.
A current list of sub-processors is available on request.
6. Your Rights & Controls
You may access, correct, export, or delete your data at any time. Email connect@byairapp.com or use in-app controls. EU users have GDPR rights (access, erasure, restriction, objection, portability). California residents have CCPA rights.
7. International Transfers
Data may be processed outside your country (e.g., EU-hosted servers). We rely on EU Standard Contractual Clauses or other lawful mechanisms for cross-border transfers.
8. Children’s Privacy
byAir is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. Material changes will be announced in-app or by email. Continued use after an update indicates acceptance.

Welcome to byAir.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the byAir mobile applications, websites, and related services ("Services"). By using our Services, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use byAir.
1. Eligibility and Account Registration
You may use most features of byAir without creating an account.
However, certain features—such as flight history, statistics, syncing across devices, and PRO subscription—may require you to sign in using:
Google Sign-In, or
Sign in with Apple
If you choose to register, you are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activities under your account.
2. Use of the Services
byAir allows you to:
Track and manage your flights
Get alerts and real-time updates
Import flight data from confirmation emails (with permission)
Explore airport tips, maps, and transit options
Access additional PRO features with a subscription
You agree not to:
Use the Services for illegal, harmful, or misleading purposes
Interfere with or attempt to access systems you are not authorized to
Copy, modify, or redistribute any part of the Services without written consent
Personal use only
The Services, including our apps, websites, MCP server, APIs, integrations, and the data made available through them, are provided solely for your personal, non-commercial use. Permitted personal use includes managing your own travel, including business trips, and following the flights of family and friends in a personal capacity.
Unless expressly authorized under a separate written agreement with byAir, you must not use the Services:
- to operate or support a business, or to provide services to clients or customers;
- to monitor or manage travel on behalf of a travel agency, employer, or other organization;
- as a data source or component of a commercial product, customer-facing service, or business operational system, including flight monitoring, dispatch, or travel management systems; or
- to sell, sublicense, redistribute, or otherwise commercially exploit data or alerts obtained through the Services.
These restrictions apply whether access is manual or automated, whether you use your own account or act on behalf of another person or organization, and whether or not you charge for the resulting service.
Personal automation through supported integrations, including MCP and AI assistants, is permitted only within the scope of personal use described above.
3. Flight Data from Email
If you connect your Gmail account, you authorize us to:
We do not access other emails or use your inbox for advertising or analytics. You may disconnect access at any time via your Google account settings.
4. Sign in with Apple
If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive only an anonymous identifier. We do not collect your name or email unless you choose to share it. This identifier is used solely to link your byAir account across devices.
5. Subscriptions
byAir offers optional paid features under the PRO subscription, including:
Subscriptions are billed through the App Store or Google Play and renew automatically unless canceled.
A PRO subscription does not grant commercial usage rights or include a service-level agreement, guaranteed availability, or guaranteed support response or resolution times.
6. Intellectual Property
The byAir app, website, and all related content—including designs, logos, features, and code—are the intellectual property of byAir or its licensors.
You may not copy, reproduce, or modify the Services without permission.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
byAir is provided “as is” and “as available.”
While we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee:
Use of byAir is at your own risk.
The Services are not designed for business-critical operational use. We do not guarantee uninterrupted monitoring, delivery of every alert, or any particular data update frequency. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the extent allowed by law:
byAir shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid (if any) in the past 12 months for PRO features
9. Termination
You may stop using byAir at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you are violating these Terms or using the Services in a harmful or unlawful way.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make major changes, we will notify you via the app or email.
Your continued use of byAir after the update means you accept the new Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Spain.
Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Spain.
